We are seeking a Junior Level Software Engineer for our ECS Software organization in Totowa New Jersey. The Software organization develops and delivers high-quality Software solutions for our complex electronic products and various military electronic systems. In this role, you will be participating in technical efforts and decisions involving the maturation of Software Applications, working across multiple disciplines and collaborating with Systems, Hardware, and Test Engineers to impact all phases of the Product Development Lifecycle. in a highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner and collaborate with the program leaders to ensure program objectives are achieved.
  • Developing your technical and professional skills
  • Supporting the technical design, development, integration and release of our BAE Systems Software.
  • Work closely with product line engineering to ensure alignment and understanding of the required capabilities and functions.
  • Responsible for implementation of Software Solutions Strategy and processes
  • Develop and maintaining the SW test solutions to improve product testability while increasing yield throughout the test process. Integrate software solutions to validate and tune products, provide training to technicians in the art of troubleshooting and work to optimize throughput.

Required Skills and Education
  • Must have at least an active Secret level clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in CS (Computer Science), CE (Computer Engineering) with at least 2 years of professional SW development experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2+ years or comparable test engineering related experience preferred.
  • Experience developing Electronic Warfare systems.
  • Proficient in the Software Development Life Cycle and Software languages such as C++, C# and Python.
  • Experienced in Real Time Operating Systems such as RedHat and/or RTLinux
  • Experienced in Hands on integration testing of electronic systems

Preferred Skills and Education
  • A continuous improvement mindset to enhance Software development through process modernization.
  • Proven performance in software design and development.
  • Experience Developing and Integrating Software
  • Experience with TestStand, LabView, or other test software tools
  • Experience with the entire product life cycle development: Requirements review, test plan creation, coding, and integration of test SW with test stands.
  • Experience with SW version control and bug tracking tools.
