Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Engineer Software - UI Developer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located on-site in Melbourne, Florida.

You will work with multi-disciplinary teams, such as with Systems Engineering, Real-time & Embedded Software, Test Automation, DevOps and Systems Test, in an Agile software development environment. You will analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls.

Essential Functions:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative team settings across all levels
  • Participate in the full software development life cycle including requirements, design, implementation, qualification, and delivery of software products to our customers
  • Operate in a cloud technology development environment working with microservices, object-oriented programming, design patterns and pub-sub messaging

  • Work in Agile Scrum teams to develop software products for multiple software baselines

  • Collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers and integration/test engineers to develop and maintain complex software systems


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience in software engineering OR a Master's degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 0 years of experience in software engineering
  • Ability to implement software and scripts in one or more programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Go, PowerShell, VBScript, Bash, AND/OR KornShell.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of UI/UX design principles
  • Active in-scope DoD Secret Security Clearance, with the ability to obtain (and maintain) special program access (PAR).

  • DoD UI/UX Design Experience
  • Experience working in an Agile Framework
  • Differentiating characteristics include demonstrated leadership, teamwork and collaboration capabilities, and strong interpersonal communication skills
Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
