Nous recherchons un Ingénieur systèmes en sécurité fonctionnelle ayant de l’expérience en systèmes embarqués et dans des environnements critiques pour la sécurité afin de soutenir le développement de plateformes industrielles et de machines hors route.


Ce poste est orienté ingénierie système avec une exposition au logiciel embarqué, plutôt qu’un rôle purement axé sur le développement logiciel. Le candidat idéal possède une solide expérience en sécurité fonctionnelle, architecture système, validation et plateformes embarquées, tout en collaborant étroitement avec les équipes matériel, qualité et logiciel.

Responsabilités principales

  • Concevoir et soutenir le développement de systèmes embarqués critiques pour la sécurité destinés aux équipements industriels et aux machines hors route
  • Appliquer et faire respecter les normes de sécurité fonctionnelle telles que IEC 61508, ISO 26262 ou IEC 62061 tout au long du cycle de développement
  • Réaliser des analyses de dangers, évaluations des risques, AMDEC (FMEA) et analyses par arbre de défaillance
  • Définir et gérer les exigences de sécurité, la traçabilité et la documentation des dossiers de sécurité
  • Développer et maintenir les spécifications d’architecture, plans de vérification, procédures de test et rapports de sécurité
  • Soutenir les activités de vérification et validation, incluant les tests Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) et la validation sur machine
  • Collaborer avec les équipes matériel, qualité, systèmes et logiciel embarqué afin d’assurer la conformité sécurité de bout en bout
  • Déboguer, valider et maintenir les systèmes embarqués sur des plateformes matérielles réelles
  • Participer aux activités de développement Agile et aux revues d’ingénierie interfonctionnelles
  • Contribuer à l’amélioration continue des processus de sécurité et de développement

Profil recherché


Qualifications requises

  • Minimum 5 ans d’expérience en systèmes embarqués ou en ingénierie de sécurité fonctionnelle
  • Solide expérience avec des systèmes critiques pour la sécurité dans des environnements industriels, automobiles, équipements lourds ou similaires
  • Connaissance des normes de sécurité fonctionnelle incluant IEC 61508, ISO 26262 ou IEC 62061
  • Expérience avec les environnements RTOS et les plateformes basées sur microcontrôleurs
  • Connaissance du développement logiciel embarqué en C et C++
  • Expérience pratique en débogage, validation et tests sur matériel réel
  • Expérience avec l’AMDEC (FMEA), les analyses par arbre de défaillance et le développement de dossiers de sécurité
  • Forte rigueur documentaire incluant spécifications, matrices de traçabilité et rapports de sécurité
  • Capacité à travailler de manière autonome et à collaborer avec des équipes d’ingénierie multidisciplinaires
  • Expérience dans des environnements Agile utilisant des outils tels qu’Azure DevOps ou Jira
  • Participation à des réunions, conférences, formations ou projets menés en anglais
  • Le français est obligatoire pour le site de Laval

We are seeking a Functional Safety Systems Engineer with experience in embedded systems and safety-critical environments to support the development of industrial and off-road machine platforms.


This role is focused on systems engineering with exposure to embedded software, rather than a pure software development position. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working across functional safety, system architecture, validation, and embedded platforms while collaborating closely with hardware, QA, and software teams.


Location & Work Mode

  • Seniority: Middle (4–6+ years of experience)


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and support the development of safety-critical embedded systems for industrial and off-road machinery
  • Apply and enforce functional safety standards such as IEC 61508, ISO 26262, or IEC 62061 throughout the development lifecycle
  • Perform hazard analysis, risk assessments, FMEA, and fault tree analysis
  • Define and manage safety requirements, traceability, and safety case documentation
  • Develop and maintain architecture specifications, verification plans, test procedures, and safety reports
  • Support verification and validation activities, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing and on-machine validation
  • Collaborate with hardware, QA, systems, and embedded software teams to ensure end-to-end safety compliance
  • Debug, validate, and maintain embedded systems on real hardware platforms
  • Participate in Agile development activities and cross-functional engineering reviews
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of safety and development processes


Required Profile

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded systems or functional safety engineering
  • Strong experience working with safety-critical systems in industrial, automotive, heavy equipment, or similar environments
  • Knowledge of functional safety standards including IEC 61508, ISO 26262, or IEC 62061
  • Experience with RTOS environments and microcontroller-based platforms
  • Familiarity with embedded software development using C and C++
  • Hands-on experience with debugging, validation, and testing on real hardware
  • Experience with FMEA, fault tree analysis, and safety case development
  • Strong documentation discipline, including specifications, traceability matrices, and safety reports
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Experience working within Agile environments using tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira
  • Participation in meetings, conferences, training sessions, or projects conducted in English
