Electrician Apprentice
Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Electrician Apprentice to join our team. This is an entry-level position, ideal for someone looking to start a career in the electrical trade. No prior experience is necessary—we will provide on-the-job training. The Apprentice will assist with commercial electrical and low voltage installations and repairs, gaining hands-on experience while working under the supervision of licensed electricians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist electricians with commercial electrical and low voltage installation and service tasks
- Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit to required lengths and angles
- Pull wire or cable through conduits and ducts
- Use digital multimeters to measure voltage, amperage, and continuity
- Help install and connect switches, outlets, and receptacles
- Organize tools and materials, and maintain a clean job site
- Follow all job-site safety rules and procedures
- Learn and apply basic electrical principles and code requirements
- Take direction and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
Qualifications:
- No prior electrical experience required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Strong willingness to learn and grow in the electrical trade
- Ability to take direction and work as part of a team
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Punctual, dependable, and safety-conscious
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Work in tight spaces, on ladders, and in outdoor conditions
- Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods
