POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for operational condition and performance of the facility and equipment used in the production of technical foam rubber. Technicians are expected to work as part of a team and / or without assistance while complying with all OSHA and Facility safety requirements (lock out/tag out, confined space, welding safety, etc).

JOB SPECIFIC TASKS:

  • Read and interpret more detailed mechanical, electrical, and PLC ladder logic blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
  • Use common hand and power tools. Working knowledge of specialized equipment, and electronic devices used in basic trouble shooting and repair.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance without supervision to include inspection of mechanical and electrical equipment, make minor adjustments related to the inspection and perform other advanced maintenance tasks.
  • Should show confidence in diagnosing more complicated equipment failures of mechanical and electrical devices. Troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment, facilities and parts as required.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform diagnostics and related repair work of critical facility equipment to include but not limited to extruders, ovens, mixers, granulators and their subsystems and components.
  • Demonstrate the ability to do instrument calibrations with minimum assistance. Basic ability to work with PLC systems, and programmable software.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED required 2-3 years of related job experience is preferred. Basic computer skills preferred (MS Excel, MS Word).

The M2 position will require the certificates of completion in the following courses, Instrumentation 2, PLC-2, PLC-3, Hydraulic Control-1 Hydraulic-Control-2, AC Machines-Motor Control 1, Motor Control 2, Pneumatic Control 1, Pneumatic Control 2, DC Machines-Motor Control and Motor Control 2. --Or other courses approved by Maintenance Manager and HR Department.
