Job description

H2M architects + engineers, a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, environmental consulting and design firm has an opening for an entry-level Staff Engineer in our MEP/Electrical Department.  This position is an amazing opportunity for a new graduate who is interested in electrical engineering and looking for a strong learning environment to develop design knowledge, project management skills and client relationships.

Job Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of a Senior Engineers and Project Managers, this candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Performing design, computations and evaluations associated with the design and construction administration of power distribution, emergency generators, I&C systems, fire alarms, CCTV systems and lighting design.
  • Performing project administration including gathering information, writing reports, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, tracking project costs, and completing progress reports.
  • Coordination with other engineering and architecture departments within the firm
  • Client interaction and teamwork with other disciplines.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Power Systems
  • 0-2 years of design experience in a consulting environment
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Revit
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • EIT/PE desired

The salary range for this role is $72,500 - $85,000 annually.

The employment offer may deviate from the published range based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, specialty, knowledge, education, geography and/or related certifications – not related to any applicant’s characteristics protected by local, state or federal law.  Note: The salary or hourly rate indicated does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
