The Field Engineer will work onsite in Reno NV at our clients' locations.
Key Responsibilities
  • System Performance: Install, commission, and optimize advanced DDC systems, ensuring controls, sensors, and networks meet performance standards.
  • Proactive Problem Solving: Use technical judgment to solve automation challenges and mitigate project risks before they impact timelines.
  • Technical Leadership: Train owners on system operation and partner with Project Managers to manage risks and improve execution.
  • Travel & Growth: Travel as needed and adapt to changing schedules while taking end-to-end ownership of complex projects.
  • Project Integrity: Maintain accurate documentation and participate in project reviews to drive continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in the Building Automation or HVAC Controls industry.
  • Hold a valid, current Driver's License and be insurable by the company's insurance carrier.
  • Lift items up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as squat and climb for extended periods.
  • Capable of working over 8 feet above grade and proficient in the use of ladders and motorized lift equipment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Background: Degree or Technical Certificate in HVAC, Controls, or a related field.
  • Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of BAS integration and TCP/IP networking (including wireless). Experience in building automation software, such as WebCTRL, and installing building automation controls.
  • Project Ownership: Demonstrated experience in delivering turnkey solutions while independently working with increasing scope complexity and managing resources to meet all milestones.
  • Technical Problem Solving: Proactively identifies and resolves system issues using a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical plans.
  • Software & Systems: Proficient in loading and configuring building automation software, including trends, alarms, system reports, and end-user training. Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Working Communication: Clearly translates technical project details for customers and maintains disciplined documentation and safety standards.
  • Quality & Improvement: Anticipates customer needs and provides feedback on field tools and processes to drive operational efficiency and reliability.

Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $53,000.00 - $106,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation
This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
