Electrician Apprentice

Job Description

This role supports a construction project in Rocky View County, focusing on commercial and light industrial electrical work. You will work in an active construction environment, performing installations, troubleshooting, and general electrical construction tasks on a project-based schedule with premium shift opportunities. This is not an entry-level position and requires strong commercial or industrial electrical experience and confidence working on active sites.

Looking to hire a high volume of tradespeople throughout the summer for a long term project.

Responsibilities

  • Perform commercial and light industrial electrical installations, including wiring, equipment connections, distribution, lighting, and general electrical construction tasks.
  • Install, run, and bend conduit and pipe to support new construction and commercial construction projects.
  • Pull cables and wires safely and efficiently, ensuring proper routing, labeling, and termination according to project specifications and electrical codes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and site instructions to complete electrical installations accurately and on schedule.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment, identify issues, and implement effective solutions to maintain productivity and safety.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Commercial or industrial electrical experience in active construction or industrial-style environments.
  • Apprentices (all levels) considered with valid electrical apprenticeship registration
  • Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
  • Required tickets: WHMIS, CSTS, Fall-Arrest, Elevated Work Platform
  • Must have own basic tools

Shifts & Environment:

  • Day shift 7:00am - 4:00pm
  • Afternoon shift 2:00pm-12:00am
  • Afternoon shift premium offered
