Description
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester is nationally and internationally recognized for its leadership in community pediatrics, pediatric basic and clinical research, and innovative residency training. Golisano Children's Hospital is home to more than 200 pediatric specialists, offering comprehensive care across more than 40 specialty areas and serving over 85,000 children and their families each year. As the regional referral center for seriously ill or injured children across the 17-county Finger Lakes region and beyond, we are dedicated to a three-part mission: providing exceptional care for children and families, educating future pediatricians and pediatric specialists, and advancing pediatric medicine through groundbreaking research.
The Division of Adolescent Medicine within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor position. We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible, fellowship-trained Adolescent Medicine specialist who will become an active and enthusiastic contributor to our clinical, educational, and research missions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment that values excellence in patient care, scholarship, teaching, and mentorship. This full-time position includes both inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities, along with dedicated time for academic and administrative activities.
The Division of Adolescent Medicine is dynamic and progressive, embracing a biopsychosocial approach to care. Our areas of clinical expertise include eating disorders, sexual and reproductive health, and the care of LGBTQ+ youth. We aim to align each faculty member's professional development goals with those of the University, Department, and Division. The successful candidate will bring exceptional interpersonal skills, integrity, warmth, humor, diligence, and energy, and will take pride in both individual and team accomplishments.
Qualifications
  • Medical Degree (MD or equivalent)
  • Completion of a two- or three-year fellowship in Adolescent Medicine
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Adolescent Medicine
