Description
Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Offer specialized support for eating disorder treatment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals in hospital settings to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Provides direct care to patients using the core competencies of eating disorder and addiction counseling and/or mental health counseling and may serve as the primary counselor to his/her specified caseload. They provide intervention, process and psychoeducation group therapy, individual therapy and family therapy as scheduled and clinically necessary. They apply various counseling theories and techniques in their interactions with patients.

Requirements
  • Must hold a valid license as a Professional Counselor in the state of practice.
  • Proven experience in mental health counseling
  • Unrestricted independent practice recognized licensure in Louisiana, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
