Koniag Tech and Infrastructure Solutions LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an Administrative Assistant with a TS/SCI security clearance to support KITS and our customer at Stennis Space Center, MS. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

We are seeking a motivated and professional Administrative Assistant to provide front-line administrative support for the Naval Research Laboratory. This is an entry-level, fully on-site position in which the selected candidate will be seated at the front desk of the main office building, serving as the first point of contact for staff, visitors, and incoming communications.
The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and detail-oriented, with a strong foundation in office administration and a demonstrated ability to operate with discretion and professionalism in a government or military-adjacent environment. This role requires a self-starter who can manage competing priorities, communicate effectively across all levels of an organization, and uphold the standards and protocols expected within a DoD facility.
This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of NRL. The Administrative Assistant will be the face of the office, supporting staff productivity, maintaining an organized and welcoming environment, and ensuring all administrative functions are executed accurately and in accordance with applicable Navy directives and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact at the front desk, greeting and escorting visitors in accordance with facility access and security protocols
  • Answer and direct incoming telephone calls, take and relay accurate messages, and respond to routine inquiries in a professional manner
  • Receive, sort, and route incoming mail, packages, and deliveries to appropriate personnel
  • Schedule and manage conference room reservations, coordinating logistics and preparation for meetings, including setup, materials, and any required technology support
  • Record and transcribe accurate meeting minutes for designated meetings as required, ensuring timely distribution to stakeholders
  • Draft, format, proof, and review official correspondence in strict accordance with the Navy Correspondence Manual and applicable directives
  • Maintain organized filing systems and support records management activities in compliance with applicable policies
  • Support staff with general administrative tasks and special projects as assigned
  • Ensure front desk and common areas reflect a professional and organized environment at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in basic office functions and records management principles and practices
  • Prior experience supporting staff at a major corporation, government agency, or military command
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with personnel at all levels, as well as external visitors and stakeholders
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to compose clear, professional correspondence and documentation
  • Demonstrated discretion, sound judgment, and the ability to handle sensitive information appropriately
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Fluency with Microsoft Windows and the full Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Must be eligible to qualify for a Common Access Card issuance and associated IT system access
  • Must comply with all DoD, DoN, NAMRU-D, cybersecurity, and OPSEC requirements and policies

Clearance Requirements:
  • TS/SCI security clearance is required - candidates will not be considered without an active TS/SCI

Education:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate's degree or coursework in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and directly relevant administrative experience will be considered
