ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:
Activations department at TelevisaUnivision is looking for an Activations Technician to join our team! You'll support promotional initiatives for Local Media Bay Area (KDTV-14, KBRG 100.3, KSOL 98.9-99.1, and KVVF 105.7-100.7). The Activations Technician will be responsible for set up of promotional items, banners, tables, tents and sound equipment for remotes, special events and station appearances. Interface with clients, listeners, and general public during off site promotional activities. Activation Technicians must be able to collaborate creatively with the Sales & Promotions staff.
You will report to the Activations Supervisor.
Pay range: $18-$20 per hour
YOUR DAY-DAY:
• Set up, test, operate, and tear down promotional, broadcast, and event equipment, including audio, video, lighting, tents, banners, and branded assets;
• Transport, inventory, maintain, and organize promotional materials, technical equipment, and station vehicles;
• Troubleshoot basic technical issues during remote broadcasts, live events, and promotional activations to ensure seamless execution;
• Coordinate event setup and breakdown while ensuring compliance with station safety standards and venue requirements;
• Assist with remote broadcast operations, including connectivity, power, and equipment support for on-air talent and engineering teams;
• Maintain accurate inventory of promotional items, prizes, signage, and activation equipment, reporting any maintenance or replacement needs;
• Ensure all promotional displays, vehicles, and branded assets are clean, organized, and presented in accordance with company standards;
• Capture basic event photos and videos for promotional and social media use as requested;
• Support station marketing, community outreach, and client activation initiatives through effective event execution;
• Represent the station in a professional manner while interacting with listeners, clients, vendors, and community partners;
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and FCC regulations during remote broadcasts and station events.
YOU HAVE:
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
• Ability to conduct "call-in On-Air announcements" from site locations in Spanish
• Flexible work schedule including weekends and Holidays
• Creative, Organized, Enthusiastic Excellent interpersonal skills
• Computer literate Knowledge of digital social media
• Strong social media skills and understanding of current trends.
• Entry level video editing skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut) Prior experience in customer service, sales, promotions, or brand ambassador (1+ year preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Slight experience with video editing software preferred (not required)
• Bi-lingual in Spanish/English. Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish (read, write, speak)
