This role focuses on hands-on delivery, automation, and standardization, including supporting large-scale platform migrations (e.g., GitHub Enterprise adoption) and driving efficient, repeatable engineering practices. You will work closely with senior engineers, architects, and client teams to deliver scalable, secure, and production-ready DevOps solutions.

What you'll do

Hands-On Engineering & Delivery
Support implementation of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
Contribute to migration efforts (e.g., Azure DevOps GitHub, CI/CD modernization)
Assist in building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or equivalent)
Troubleshoot build, release, and environment issues across development lifecycles
Apply secure engineering practices including code scanning, testing, and policy enforcement

Automation & Standardization
Leverage automation and AI-assisted tooling (e.g., Copilot) to improve delivery speed and consistency
Contribute to reusable templates, modules, and standardized DevOps patterns
Reduce manual effort through scripting and pipeline optimization

Collaboration & Delivery Support
Work with development, infrastructure, and security teams to support end-to-end delivery
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to backlog refinement and technical tasks
Support knowledge sharing through documentation and team collaboration

Operational Support & Continuous Improvement
Monitor pipeline health and deployment reliability
Identify opportunities to improve performance, reduce cost, and simplify processes
Support implementation of logging, monitoring, and basic operational practices

Skills and experiences

Required

  • 1+ year of hands-on experience in software development, IT, or DevOps-related work (including internships, co-ops, or equivalent practical experience)

  • Technical Skills - Foundational knowledge of:

  • Git-based version control (GitHub preferred)

  • CI/CD concepts and tooling

  • Scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and basic services

  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts (Terraform or similar)

  • DevOps Fundamentals - Understanding of:

  • CI/CD pipelines and automation

  • Branching strategies and code management

  • Agile or iterative delivery models

Preferred

  • Experience with GitHub (Actions, workflows, repositories, migrations)
