Job description

Job Title: Program Engineer / Engineering Assistant 
Schedule: Day Shift | Monday – Friday
Pay: $16 – $23/hour (depending on experience)
Type: Contract-to-hire

About the Role:

We are seeking an entry-level Program Engineer / Engineering Assistant to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. This is a perfect opportunity for someone just starting their career in engineering, CAD, or manufacturing, looking to gain hands-on experience and grow within a professional team. You will work directly with our experienced engineers and support day-to-day operations in the office and manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain workspace and organize computer/data files 

  • Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) accurately from CAD data and prints 

  • Process, color, and prep print packages 

  • Assist with Mastercam and/or SolidWorks tasks, including minor design and CAD updates 

  • Process quote requests and customer changes to prints or CAD data 

  • Read and interpret blueprints and ensure CAD dimensions are accurate 

  • Prep and log waterjet or CNC data 

  • Communicate with internal teams and customers regarding design or tooling needs 

  • Be attentive to special tooling or process requirements 

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Coursework or experience in CAD (SolidWorks), CAM (Mastercam), or drafting 

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint 

  • Understanding of CNC machining processes 

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints 

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy 

  • Eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; recent graduates or entry-level candidates encouraged
