Job description

Leader in Training (Class of 2026)

The Budd Group | One-Year Rotational Leadership Program

Are you a recent grad ready to trade the classroom for a real-world masterclass in business? This isn't your typical entry-level desk job. Our Leader in Training (LIT) program is an intensive, 12-month immersion designed to turn high-potential graduates into the next generation of industry leaders.

The Mission

You’ll spend one year rotating through every facet of The Budd Group. From the front lines to the executive suite, you’ll master:

  • Operations & Management

  • Customer & Employee Relations

  • Human Resources & Talent Acquisition

  • Accounting & Sales Strategy

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll learn our business from the ground up—literally. Expect a mix of "boots-on-the-ground" grit and high-level strategy:

  • The Fundamentals: Get hands-on with janitorial, landscaping, and specialty services (yes, that means mowing, pruning, and site clean-up!).

  • Management: Take the reins on scheduling, crew management, and quality audits.

  • Sales & Growth: Master the art of the pitch, from cold calling to high-stakes presentations.

  • HR & People Ops: Lead the charge in interviewing, onboarding, and building employee engagement strategies.

  • Business Intelligence: Dive deep into AR/AP, budgeting, and performance tracking in our LMS.

Who You Are (Requirements)
  • Recent Grad: You’ve graduated within the last year.

  • Committed: Ready for a full 1-year journey (June – May).

  • Resilient: You’re happy working in a highly physical, indoor/outdoor environment.

  • Flexible: You’re okay with evenings or weekends when the job calls for it.

Your Success Traits
  • Natural Leader: You know how to motivate a team.

  • Client-Focused: You pride yourself on top-tier customer service.

  • Sharp Communicator: You’re clear, concise, and professional.

  • Safety First: You never cut corners when it comes to well-being.

The Goal

Our mission is simple: We train you to lead. Upon successful completion of the program, we aim to transition you into a permanent management or specialized leadership role within our organization.
