Position Summary
The Operations Team Member is an entry-level position designed for individuals looking to build a career in HVAC wholesale distribution. Team members begin by supporting daily delivery operations while learning every aspect of branch operations, including warehouse functions, inventory, customer service, and counter sales.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, working with people, and growing within an organization.
Primary Responsibilities
Delivery Operations
  • Deliver HVAC equipment and supplies safely and on time.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles.
  • Verify deliveries for accuracy.
  • Obtain customer signatures and required documentation.
  • Maintain a clean and professional company vehicle.
Warehouse Operations
  • Receive and stock incoming inventory.
  • Pull customer orders accurately.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory organization.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely (training provided).
Customer Service
  • Represent Johnstone Supply Upstate Group professionally at every customer location.
  • Assist customers with loading products.
  • Build positive relationships with contractors.
  • Support the counter sales team during busy periods.
Team Support
  • Assist with branch operations as needed.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training.
  • Learn company products and systems.
  • Cross-train in warehouse, counter sales, and inventory functions.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
