Inbound Customer Service includes sales activity where the customer has contacted us with their needs. Outbound Customer Service would include all sales activities calling out to customers on our companies' behalf.

Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Contact vendors for quotes an various supply items as needed
  • Help update company web site and Amazon store listings
  • Communicate with web and Amazon customers to assist them in ordering
  • Answer phone calls, take orders, directs calls to appropriate individuals
  • Process account payable and invoicing
  • Assist outside sales force with quoting, vendor questions, inventory questions, etc.
  • Assist walk-in customers with taking orders, pick-up orders and product questions.
  • Manages phone requests and inquiries in a helpful and professional manner.
  • Assist with account collections as needed
  • Take initiative to bring sales inquiries to a successful conclusion
  • Communicate with owners, inside staff, salespeople, vendors to provide smooth order conclusion and experience for the customer
  • Provide office support including order entry, sales assistance, sorting of mail, filing, and scanning, plus.
  • Communicate customer needs with purchasing, sales, and distribution staff
  • Learn and become proficient using the company computer program, DDI Inform.
  • Ability to work proficiently with computer programs including Work, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to multitask and handled detail oriented questions and tasks
  • Ability to learn (on a continual basis) the supplies, supply attributes, and supply benefits we represent. Training provided.
  • Make out going sales calls as directed by the sales manager, re: company promotions, upsells, etc.

Requirements:

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both our internal staff, vendors and customers.
  • Ability to simultaneously handle a large and diverse number of projects, tasks and issues with tact and professionalism, cooperation, and persistence.
  • Ability to prioritize work activities based on customer needs.
  • Ability to think and react quickly, decisively, and effectively especially in a situations where things are happening very quickly.
  • Associate's degree preferred, plus two to five years of related work experience, preferably within a customer service / sales, or technical work environment.
  • Proficient computer skills within the following applications: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet business application usage.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to perform work independently and demonstrate solid organizational and attention to detail skills.

Required experience:

  • Customer Service and Inside Sales: at least 4 years
  • Would consider recent college graduates

Required license or certification:

  • Driver's License Required
