Job description

Overview
As a Data Technician, you will be responsible for pulling, testing, and terminating CAT5e/6a and or Fiber Optic cabling, installing cable support structures as well as various kinds of A/V, security, and/or DAS devices on a commercial construction site.
Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for pulling, testing, and terminating CAT5e/6a and/or Fiber Optic cabling on an active construction site
  • Install various kinds of devices such as speakers, projectors, displays, WAPs, card readers,
  • access control devices (strikes, locks, or crash bars), transmitters, receivers, and DAS equipment.
  • Attend mandatory safety meetings, as well as maintain strict adherence to company and client safety standards.
  • Accurately label cabling consistent with PM or foreman instruction
  • Assist other team members whenever necessary to efficiently complete the installation
  • Adhere to company policies and established procedures

Qualifications
  • 6-months experience as a commercial low-voltage technician
  • Possess a High School Diploma or GED
  • Have their own reliable transportation to and from the jobsite
  • Pass a background check and drug test
  • Be able to work dayshifts, nights, or weekends, if needed
