Job description

Job Title:Associate Data EngineerSummary:The Associate Data Engineer will work with the business and IT teams by helping gather requirements, assist in developing and maintaining reports and contribute to the ER&A reporting and analysis efforts. This role will work with various data and reporting tools used in Momentive to help deliver insights and support decision-making. The Associate Data Engineer will help build dashboards and reports that provide clear, actionable information to business users.Responsibilities Include:
  • Support the execution of reporting and analytics projects using tools such as MDL (Snowflake), Alteryx, Tableau and emerging AI solutions.

  • Assist in building and maintaining reports and dashboards that provide insights into customer acquisition, operational performance, and other key business metrics.

  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand data needs and help resolve basic technical challenges related to data access and quality.

  • Participate in system administration and contribute to the design and improvement of data platforms under guidance from senior team members.

  • Help coordinate and track progress on tasks related to Enterprise Reporting and Analytics projects, supporting both business and IT initiatives.

  • Learn and apply structured approaches to working with large datasets, helping to streamline processes and uncover meaningful insights.

  • Provide support for business analysis activities across functions such as Finance, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Technology.

  • Explore opportunities to apply advanced analytics techniques, including AI, Machine Learning, and Data Modeling, with mentorship from senior engineers.

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Math, Engineering or related field or equivalent is required.
  • 0-2 years of Business & Technical experience utilizing Data Visualization and reporting Tools Examples: Tableau, Alteryx, Snowflake - MDL
  • Knowledge of SQL or other coding languages (Python, etc.)
  • Able to execute Business Analysis for complex business functions
  • Speak/write fluid English
  • Strong English Communication Skills (verbal and written)
  • Able to follow / work with full-life cycle (SDLC) and Agile Process and formal change management and PMO methodologies.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting with others.
  • Ability to work with an off/on shore model as well as working with Virtual teams.
  • Conceptual and analytical thinker - ability to extract, analyze and document complex business and technical requirements/strategies from customers and IT team members.

The following are preferred for the role

  • Bachelor's or other advanced degree in Computer Science, Business, Math, Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Knowledgeable on data analytics methodologies, including AI / ML Models and Snowflake Cortex functionalities
  • Manufacturing or business experience with a solid understanding of business operations /processes.
  • Data Visualization: Tableau/SAC/Power BI
