Job description

Applied Scientist

We are looking for an engineer to spearhead our Brand Ads forecasting initiatives. You will be leading a group of talented engineers in developing world-class advertising products and technologies. Your work will have a direct impact on billions of dollars in revenue and shape the industry's landscape through complex technical challenges in infrastructure, algorithms, and machine learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Applying statistical or machine learning knowledge to solve forecasting problems used by advertisers to make ad spending decisions.
  • Translating business questions and concerns into specific quantitative questions that can be answered with available data using sound methodologies.
  • In cases where questions cannot be answered with available data, work with engineers to produce the required data.
  • Retrieving, synthesizing, and presenting data in a format that is immediately useful to answering specific questions or improving system performance.
  • Applying statistical or machine learning knowledge to solve specific business problems.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Deep domain knowledge in the field of forecasting
  • Strong technical capabilities in data

Client Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in ads bidding, ranking, and retrieval, ads forecasting is a strong plus
  • Expertise in large-scale ads delivery, recommendation, or search is highly desirable
  • Proven track record of working closely with product and product marketing teams is a plus
