DIVISION OVERVIEW:
Goodwill SWPA's Human Services division is responsible for making Goodwill's overarching vision a reality: enhancing people's dignity and quality of life by strengthening communities and helping those with barriers to employment reach their full potential through workforce education and support. The Human Services division fulfills this mission providing high quality, outcome-oriented services for program participants by utilizing a comprehensive service delivery model covering a broad array of social programs.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is predominantly based onsite at Goodwill SWPA's Workforce Development Center, in the Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA. This is not a remote role. This role is not eligible for relocation assistance.
The Database Coordinator supports data collection, maintenance, and management of Human Service software systems. This position serves as a technical point of contact assisting division management with database testing and training, data migration and collection, and report creation. The Database Coordinator is responsible for multiple system and data source coordination, data analysis, and report development. This role will ensure high-quality data collection, integrity, analysis, and reporting across the organization. In addition, the Database Coordinator will lead database related training and technical support, ensuring users are proficient and systems are aligned with best practices in service delivery. While primarily based at our Pittsburgh headquarters, this role may require occasional travel across the SWPA and NCWV region to engage with program teams and support the divisional database initiatives.
Status: Regular, Full-Time, Exempt.
Location: Lawrenceville Workforce Development Center - 118 52nd Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15201
External Hiring Range: $52,624 - $57,730
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM
Travel: Occasional travel to Goodwill and partner sites may be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Included but not limited to:
System Maintenance:
  • Research and resolve system problems, facilitate the implementation of new features, and spearhead review, testing, and implementation of system updates.
  • Work in conjunction with IT and risk management to ensure that system data security requirements are met, new and current users have appropriate access to data systems and manage data feeds.
  • Maintain database configuration, workflows, user permissions, security protocols and system integrity.

Data:
  • Assist programs by collecting, compiling, and submitting data to meet contract/program compliance.
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards reports for internal and external stakeholders and as requested by leadership or as necessitated by contract requirements, including providing data visualization and presentations as needed.
  • Support data research and analysis (by compiling, collating, and contrasting external and internal data against best practices).
  • Support divisional and agency leadership continuous quality improvement efforts through the establishment and management of performance indicators through integrated data collection and reporting.

Processes and Projects:
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to launch application of new features or upgrades
  • Recommend process improvements based on new technology features.
  • Maintain awareness of current trends in technology and participate in end user group meetings as needed.
  • Plan and develop project mapping for release and integration of software, as well as termination of historic software systems and data migration/record retention.

User Support:
  • Develop and lead comprehensive training programs for database users to promote effective data entry and utilization.
  • Assist with the development of new procedures, guidelines, and documentation to be used in training managers and end users.
  • Train users on system functions as needed and provide ongoing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and help desk support to users

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Years of Experience:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent AND 6+ years of relevant experience. OR
  • Associates Degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Human Resources, or other related field AND 4+ years of relevant experience. OR
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Human Resources, or other related field AND 2+ years of relevant experience.

Required:
  • Experience maintaining CRM/HSIS systems or similar data management, including robust cloud-based system of record.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and report building tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Preferred:
  • Experience in troubleshooting database issues and recommending effective solutions.
  • Strong ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven track record in analyzing data, identifying trends and extracting meaningful insight for presentation to senior leaders.
  • Experience with Caseworthy or similar case management software

REQUIRED CLEARANCES, LICENSES, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Qualified candidates must have a valid driver's license, active insurance policy, and reliable transportation for local travel.
  • Candidates are expected to complete background checks assigned by Goodwill SWPA, including a National Criminal Background check, prior to their first day of employment.
  • Candidates are expected to provide current, valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH) prior to their first day of employment.
