12-Hour Rotating Day and Night Shift Work Schedule
Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking candidates for direct hire opportunities with one of our clients, an agricultural product manufacturer in the Mobile AL area. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career scientists looking to build hands-on experience with advanced instrumentation while working alongside an experienced quality team. Pay Rate:  
Day shift: $25/hour
Night shift: $25/hour + shift differential = $25.75/hour
Schedule: 
2-3-2 work schedule
Week 1: Work 2 days, off 3 days, work 2 days
Week 2: Off 2 days, work 3 days, off 2 days
The Result: You work 3 days one week and 4 days the next with every other weekend off
Rotation: 2 weeks on the day shift followed by 2 weeks on the night shift
Day shift hours: 5am-5pm
Night shift hours: 5pm-5am
Job Responsibilities:
Laboratory Analysis & Testing
  • Conduct chemical and physical testing using instrumentation such as GC, HPLC, GCMS, titration, pH meters, density analysis, and related techniques.
  • Prepare laboratory samples, standards, and reagents following approved procedures.
  • Perform routine instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting activities.
Quality & Documentation
  • Accurately document analytical results within laboratory systems and records.
  • Review data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with quality procedures.
  • Communicate out-of-specification results or unusual findings to leadership promptly.
  • Assist with investigations and support quality assurance initiatives as needed.
Teamwork & Safety
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
  • Follow all PPE and safety requirements in accordance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to support testing schedules and manufacturing timelines.
  • Provide support during onboarding and training activities when necessary.

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related scientific discipline required
Preferred Experience
  • Experience operating analytical laboratory instrumentation such as GC or HPLC.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and laboratory documentation practices.
  • Manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, or industrial laboratory experience is highly preferred.
Additional Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to work a rotating day and night shift 12-hour schedule.
