Information Technology Specialist – U.S. Army (Entry-Level, No Experience Needed)

Full-time | Part-time | Contract | Paid Training | U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Required.

Join the U.S. Army as an Information Technology Specialist and gain hands-on experience maintaining, processing, and troubleshooting military computer systems. No prior experience needed—complete training and certifications provided.
Overview:
Information Technology Specialists maintain networks, hardware, and software. They provide customer and network administration and develop, test, and edit computer programs.
Job Duties:
  • Maintain networks, hardware, and software.
  • Provide customer and network administration services.
  • Construct, edit, and test computer programs.
Training:
  • 10 weeks Basic Combat Training.
  • 20 weeks Advanced Individual Training with on-the-job instruction.
  • Learn to use computer consoles and peripheral equipment.
  • Understand computer systems concepts.
  • Plan, design, and test computer systems.
Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (I-551).
  • Age 17–34; ages 35–39 may qualify with a waiver.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Must be in good physical health.
  • Minimum ASVAB Skilled Technical (ST) score: 95.
