You will
  • Be the founding member of the Data & Reporting team, building the data infrastructure and analytics capabilities that power Basic Capital's business intelligence, compliance, and customer communications
  • Design and build data pipelines that transform raw operational data into actionable insights for business stakeholders
  • Own the automation of critical compliance reporting, notices, and regulatory submissions
  • Develop and maintain customer-facing reporting systems including monthly account statements, performance analytics, and portfolio insights
  • Build and maintain our data warehouse infrastructure, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility across the organization
  • Participate in architecture discussions, planning, and code reviews across the stack

Required Competencies
  • Strong experience with data pipeline development and ETL/ELT workflows
  • Proficiency with SQL and experience designing data models for analytics and reporting
  • Experience with modern data warehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and data transformation tools (e.g., dbt)
  • Experience with data visualization tools and building dashboards (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Hex, Metabase)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, especially for compliance-critical use cases
  • Proficiency in any of the following: Kotlin, Rust, Java, Go, C/C++, Python, Ruby, or TypeScript
  • Experience with modern build systems and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)

  • Experience in fintech or early-stage technology companies
  • Understanding of financial data, ledgers, and accounting principles
  • Experience working in Kotlin backends
  • Experience with Temporal for asynchronous workflow orchestration
