Responsibilities
Arcfield is looking for an entry-level DATA SCIENTISTS to serve as an essential member of a team responsible for transforming raw data into meaningful insights and tools that improve decision-making, driving innovation, optimizing operations, and adding measurable value to our customer's Ground Enterprise.
The ideal candidate will be able to combine technical know-how with business acumen to create impactful solutions. Duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Working on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative
  • Help onboard, operate, and transition large-scale data science and AI/ML models in cloud and on-premises computing environments
  • Support pipeline development for data, software, and algorithm delivery to ensure reliability, security compliance, and seamless integration across domains
  • Support project development by visualizing, analyzing, trending, and providing metrics for Systems Program Office -level projects
  • Provide technical support for research, development, and the systematic transition of advanced data fusion, analytics, and automated workflow solutions to operational environments
  • Draft solutions to routine technical problems
  • Assist with developing and executing data management plans and policies
  • Perform analysis of unstructured and semi-structured data, including latent semantic indexing (LSI), entity identification and tagging, complex event processing (CEP), and the application of analysis algorithms on distributed, clustered, and cloud-based high-performance infrastructures
  • Participate in large-scale analysis of unstructured data for high-value use cases visualized through multi-dimensional interfaces
  • Handle processing and indexing requests for both high-volume data collections and high-velocity data streams
  • Identify insights, patterns, and trends in big data environments using computational and technical skills
  • Assist with designing, developing, and deploying sophisticated applications using advanced unstructured or semi-structured data analysis techniques
  • Interpret, connect, predict, and deliver actionable recommendations based on complex data analysis
  • Support data transportation and transformation tasks

Qualifications
Required:
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • BS 0-2 Years of HS 6-8
  • Interest in solving technical problems; Strong analysis skills
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Experience with or understanding of cloud-based tools for data analysis

Desired:
  • Degree in Engineering (e.g. aerospace, mechanical, electrical, computer/software), Computer Science, Data Science, Imaging Science, Mathematics, Physics or other related technical fields
  • Interest in writing code; High degree of computer literacy
  • Experience in applying machine learning techniques, algorithm analysis, and data clustering
  • Experience with utilizing open-source textual processing tools for data processing tasks
  • Demonstrated experience with employing visual analytic tools for data interpretation
  • Experience with applying entity extraction and conceptual search technologies
  • Experience with Unix/Linux Scripting

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
