CIMA FRC Account Opening Specialist 


CIMA Financial Regulation Consultants, LLC is a premier service provider of domestic and international consulting services focused on international and domestic securities and banking regulation compliance.


The Account Opening Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Weston, FL. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end account opening process for financial institution clients, including collecting and reviewing documentation, verifying customer information, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies. Responsibilities will include data entry, paperwork processing, background checks on prospective clients and corresponding and coordinating with clients and account custodians. The Account Opening Specialist will also provide administrative support to CIMA Consultants through a variety of tasks related to documentation and client service. This is an entry level position.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Strong analytical skills to review documentation, assess risk, and ensure accuracy in account opening processes.

• Foundational finance knowledge, particularly in banking, brokerage, and investment advisory services, to understand products and regulatory requirements.

• Customer service and account management skills to support clients through the onboarding process and maintain positive, long-term relationships.

• Must be client oriented and detail oriented with a strong organizational ability to manage multiple accounts, deadlines, and documentation requirements.

• Experience in regulatory compliance at a financial services firm.

• Knowledge of AML principles and USA Patriot Act (i.e., CIP, EDD, KYC)

• At least one year of experience working with AML.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

• Bilingual is highly preferred. English is a requirement and Spanish and Portuguese would be preferable. Especially the ability to read and understand in both languages.

• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, Power Point, Lexis-Nexis, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Pro).

  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
