Entry-Level Accounts Payable Specialist (Contract-to-Hire Position)
Canton, OH
Up to $22/hour
LHH is partnering with a growing company in Canton, Ohio to hire an Entry-Level Accounts Payable Specialist. This immediate-start contract-to-hire opportunity is perfect for recent graduates or candidates with administrative, data entry, customer service, or accounting support experience who are looking to build a career in accounting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, eager to learn, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
  • Enter and process invoices accurately and timely
  • Review invoices for completeness and proper approvals
  • Assist with vendor payments and payment processing
  • Maintain accounts payable records and filing systems
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payments
  • Support month-end closing activities
  • Assist the accounting team with additional administrative and accounting duties
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
  • Previous administrative, data entry, customer service, or accounting experience is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
