Job description

Job Overview: The Field and Data Civil Engineer-In-Training Level I plays a critical role in ensuring the success of engineering projects through fieldwork, data management, and adherence to safety and operational standards. This position requires technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a passion for contributing to sustainable engineering solutions.


Experience Required

â–Ş Entry level to master level civil engineering or construction experience; or student internship experience in engineering or construction.

â–Ş Experience with database management and online dashboards preferred


Educational/Certification Requirements

▪ Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in Engineering; Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.

â–Ş EI or EIT certification (or ability to obtain quickly).

â–Ş Completion of P.A.C.E. certification within 90 days of employment.

â–Ş Professional Engineer (PE) license in TN (preferred)

â–Ş Industry Certifications (e.g., Asphalt, Concrete, Erosion Control, Earthwork, OSHA10)

â–Ş Advanced Microsoft Office, AutoCAD (Civil 3D)

â–Ş ESRI GIS skills preferred

â–Ş Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

â–Ş Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Work Environment
