Job description

RGNext employees execute and report on theater and strategic offensive and defensive ballistic missile testing and support space situational awareness operations and experiments, using a wide array of highly sophisticated radar, telemetry and optical sensors to meet the needs of the Department of Defense in defending the United States and its interests. Our team delivers invaluable defensive support to our nation, efficiency and essential national space awareness expertise to ensure our nation’s safety.


This is an overseas position located on Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. It is an unaccompanied position (no family accommodation or pets). Benefits of this unique location include free housing, three meals a day and potential for overseas tax incentives.


What You Will Do:

  • Prepares and defines the project scope of work, detailed schedules, budgets, objectives, and deliverables for projects involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Documents the baseline for projects, decomposes complex work activities into manageable components.
  • Identifies project resource requirements and coordinates directly and indirectly with project staff to ensure successful completion of the project; organizes project team members to ensure communication and understanding of scope, timeliness, assignments, and objectives; participates in work as applicable.
  • Manages costs, schedules, and quality by overseeing project deliverables.
  • Performs on-going review of project status; identifies possible project risks; recommends and implements risk mitigation solutions as approved and as appropriate.
  • Manages project scope and change control and escalating issues where necessary; notifies management team early of potential technical, schedule, and budget overages or shortfalls.
  • Interfaces with project staff and stakeholders to manage changes to the project, which may involve changes to technical requirements, scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Assists with the detailed reviews of Request of Proposals (RFP); assists and/or leads a team to develop technical elements, scheduling and price estimates.
  • Provides weekly, monthly, and quarterly status reporting on project performance using best practices both internally and externally.
  • Assists with the development and support of local project management group processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Works with Quality Lead and other RETS Managers and Supervisors located in CONUS and/or Kwajalein to support quality audits and compliance.
  • Assist the Configuration and Data Management Branch in Range Technical Baseline management.
  • Mentors other project managers on best practices within the Project Operations Group (POG) and leads Community of Practice.
  • Creates and leads new and/or modified POG processes and provides solutions to complex issues within the organizational.
  • Challenges organizational processes that do not contribute to value delivery and illustrates better process alternatives.
  • Actively participates in and contributes to the continuous improvement and evolution of processes, methodologies, and tools within the organization.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in project or program management.
  • Experience working with project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management software and finance and accounting concepts and practices.
  • Experience working with techniques and approaches related to the architecture, development, integration, and deployment of project phases.
  • Experience working with in a Department of Defense contract or with Federal Acquisition Regulations.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
  • Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Garrison, Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport.
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
