Job description

The Associate Producer position is a strategic 2-3-year development program designed to accelerate your path to becoming a Producer in our Future Partner Group, and ultimately a partner. This is not an entry-level sales role; it's a deliberate steppingstone with upward mobility built in. 

You'll learn about our complete sales process—from prospecting and pipeline management to assisting with closing deals and building lasting client relationships. Working alongside seasoned Producers, you'll develop your consultative selling skills while preparing to build your own book of business. This role offers the freedom and flexibility to shape your approach, manage your schedule, and your professional growth. 

With strong performance, you'll graduate from the program positioned to build your book, grow your income, and eventually become a shareholder in the agency.

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Identify prospects through personal research that meet Ross & Yerger's ideal client profile. 

  • Effectively uses cold calling, direct mail, brochures and other Ross & Yerger sales tools to make initial contact with qualified prospects. 

  • Utilizes HubSpot CRM to manage pipeline activity of prospective clients, track sales interactions and document client communication. 

  • Sets appointments for Senior Producers and personally meets with prospects and clients. 

  • Engages the appropriate Ross & Yerger team members to offer the best customized solutions for each prospect.  

  • Keeps up-to-date on prospects’ current issues and researches new information on prospects. 

  • Learns how to ensure timeframes and deliverables are met in the sales process; and ensures that post-sale teams provide quality service to all assigned clients. 

  • Take on special projects such as database creation, data mining, and report writing. 

  • Attend regional conferences and user group meetings. 

  • Entertain clients and prospects when necessary. 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • Relevant internship experience or b2b experience preferred, not required. 

  • Demonstrates personal drive, coachability, curiosity, excellent communication skills, ability to build and maintain relationships, business acumen, strategic reasoning and a results-driven approach. 

  • Ability to acquire appropriate designations in the prescribed amount of time. 

  • Understanding of basic financial principles. 

  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills. 

  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.
