Job description

Entry Level Data Scientist

AAA is offering an exciting opportunity to join our Data Science team, where you'll gain hands-on experience using data to solve real-world problems. You'll work with our insurance department to develop pipelines, logics, reports, and models to improve our insurance products and our customer experience.

What You'll Do

  • Build an understanding of insurance's business operations, KPIs and strategic goals
  • Develop and automate data pipelines and dashboards monitoring insurance products
  • Maintain documentation, validate ongoing data pipelines and implement anomaly detection and other data quality monitoring algorithms
  • Support development and implementation of AI capabilities into insurance operations
  • Productionize ML models for retention and sales improvement

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University or College with an emphasis on computer science, statistics, business analytics or a related subject area
  • Experience working with relational databases and coding in SQL
  • Experience coding in Python
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of business-related contexts including in-person, video calls and email

Nice to Have

  • Working knowledge of insurance industry
  • Experience of working with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Snowflake
