Hi, we’re Gravie. Our mission is to create health benefits that actually benefit small and midsize businesses and their employees. Our innovative benefit solutions and services are developed and delivered by a diverse group of unique people. We encourage you to be your authentic self - we like you that way.

We’re looking for a dynamic Data Analyst to help drive the quantitative and qualitative analysis central to the management and development of Gravie’s innovative healthcare solutions, including our flagship level-funded and self-funded health benefits. You’ll have a particular opportunity to dig into Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements (ICHRAs), a fast-growing product reshaping how employers offer benefits. Join us as we reinvent the way people purchase and access healthcare.

This position is a hybrid position based in our NE Minneapolis office.  You must be able to work an average of three days a week in the office with the team.  We provide a paid parking spot or metro pass.

You Will:

  • Play a key role in helping Gravie to understand the performance of its business, understand new opportunities, and translate those insights into solutions that meaningfully improve the health benefits people get and the healthcare they receive.

  • Ask and answer the right questions, including: How are we doing? What should we continue doing? What should we stop doing?  What should we start doing in the future?

  • Take ownership of regular deliverables for various business units, leveraging multiple technologies to produce solutions that are consistent, accurate, and efficient.

  • Assist in the design and execution of diverse quantitative and qualitative analyses to support the evaluation, management, and growth of new and existing products for areas across the business.

  • Use analytic and communication skills to tell stories with data, transforming basic and complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences to influence business decisions and product roadmaps.

  • Support a culture of using data to inform decisions within the organization.

  • Apply established quality assurance measures to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and consistency of all analytical deliverables.

  • Contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of our growing analytics platform by partnering with cross-functional teams to effectively integrate data insights into business strategies and product improvements, in a robust and scalable fashion.

  • Collaborate closely with other Analysts to share knowledge and best practices, fostering an environment of knowledge sharing and professional development.

You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree, technical certification or equivalent experience required in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Economics, or other relevant area

  • 1+ years of experience in data analysis, business analytics, or a related field

  • Demonstrated analytical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with experience working with real-world datasets

  • Ability to translate data into business impact by crafting clear, data-driven narratives for stakeholders

  • Quantitative proficiency, including a solid understanding of basic mathematical and statistical concepts

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to manipulate and analyze large and complex datasets

  • Experience using SQL to query databases and explore data

  • Familiarity with Python, R, or another statistical programming language

  • Excellent attention to detail with demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Habits of excellent organization, time management, and responsiveness

  • A flexible attitude and ability to work independently with limited direction

  • An appetite for learning and quickly putting what you learn into practice

  • Demonstrated commitment to core Gravie competencies of being authentic, curious, creative, empathetic and results oriented

  • You must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Extra Credit:

  • Background or interest in health insurance or healthcare

  • Understanding of industry-specific datasets (claims, EHR, etc.) or KPIs

Gravie:

In order to create a more equitable and sustainable future for employer-sponsored health insurance, we need talented people doing amazing work. In exchange, we offer a great overall employee experience with opportunities for career growth, meaningful mission-driven work, and an above average total rewards package.

The salary range for this position is $49,500 - $66,000 annually. Numerous factors including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. will be considered when determining compensation.

Our unique benefits program is the gravy, i.e., the special sauce that sets our compensation package apart.
