Clinical Data Analyst, Clinical Analytics & Reporting Team
DaVita's Clinical Analytics & Reporting Team is responsible for designing, developing and overseeing analytical solutions for our clinical and operations executives in support of DaVita's clinical strategy. Our team's mission is to inform and guide clinical focus, support clinical innovation, and improve patient outcomes and quality of life by transforming complex data into actionable, easy-to-digest information.
The Clinical Data Analyst's primary objective is to partner with diverse teams from around the enterprise to produce analytical insights that support analytical products across a broad range of clinical domains, including patient and clinic safety initiatives, risk management, and quality improvement.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
o Create, maintain, and distribute reports related to clinical outcomes, surveillance, and risk mitigation on a regular basis
o Utilize multiple computational languages, platforms, and environments to mine and manage data in preparation for analysis
o Provide clinical insights and data trends to support and inform a multitude of projects and initiatives across the organization
o Present data to and work closely with a variety of stakeholders including senior-level operators and teammates in clinics
o Synthesize results in a non-technical manner to inform recommendations and next steps for leadership
o Partner with cross-functional teams to socialize analytic findings and drive management processes to meaningful results
o Become a subject matter expert and thought partner in clinical and methodologic areas
o Willing to travel (approximately 1-2 times per year)
Qualifications:
Education:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree required; a degree in an analytic/quantitative discipline from an accredited university (e.g. epidemiology, biostatistics, statistics, mathematics, etc.) strongly recommended

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree plus 1-2 years prior relevant work experience or master's degree in relevant field
  • Experience working in a healthcare or public health setting

Technical Skills:
Required:
o Demonstrated experience with data management and cleaning, data visualization, and data presentation
o Demonstrated ability to learn and develop proficiency in any or all of the following as needed: SQL, Tableau, R (or other statistical software), etc.
Preferred:
  • Proficiency querying large datasets using SQL (preferred) or other software (R, Python, SAS, STATA)
  • Proficiency with data visualization and reporting software (Tableau, PowerBI, or similar)
  • Experience working with clinical data, including data extracted from electronic medical records

Other Requirements:
o Ability to work independently as part of a high-performing team
o Demonstrated success working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where high-quality and precise work product is a must and is frequently delivered or presented to leadership, including the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and other executives
o Successful in managing multiple priorities and deadlines at the same time
o Effective communicator (i.e. ability to explain complex and detailed analyses or other matters in concise and simple terms for a wide range of stakeholders)

The Salary Range for the role is $57,784.00 - $85,000.00 per year.
If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.
New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $66,300.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $66,300.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $62,353.20/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $17.00/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $17.00/hour, Remainder of New York state: $16.00/hour
Washington Exempt: $80,168.40/year Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham: $19.13/hour, Burien: $21.71/hour, Everette: $20.77/hour, Unincorporated King County: $20.82/hour, Renton: $21.57/hour, Seattle: $21.30/hour, Tukwila: $21.65/hour, Remainder of Washington state: $17.13/hour
