An Entry Level Data Analyst OPT is a recent graduate who is authorized to work in the United States under the Optional Practical Training (OPT) program, typically after completing a degree in a field related to data analysis. These analysts are responsible for collecting, processing, and interpreting data to help organizations make informed decisions. They often use tools like Excel, SQL, and basic statistical software, and work under the guidance of more experienced data professionals. OPT allows international students to gain practical work experience in their field of study for up to 12 months (or 36 months for STEM majors).

To thrive as an Entry Level Data Analyst, you need a solid background in statistics, data interpretation, and proficiency with spreadsheet software, often supported by a bachelor's degree in a related field. Familiarity with tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI is typically required. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills help you stand out in this position. These skills and qualities are essential for accurately analyzing data, generating actionable insights, and clearly presenting findings to support business decisions.
