Job Description
An Entry Level Aerospace Data Analytics Engineer job is currently available at Belcan in Windsor, CT. This is a full-time direct position with benefits. To be considered, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in STEM with a focus on data analysis and programming. In this job, you will support requirements, design, development and testing of algorithms that help in detection and interpretation of changes in systems behavior of aircraft engine systems. Job Duties: Support requirements engineering: definition, decomposition and traceability of requirements for health monitoring of components and subsystems within aircraft engine systems. Design health monitoring algorithms using physics-based or data-driven methods and implement them using languages such as Matlab or Python. Define and review test plans to ensure coverage of operating envelope when testing the algorithms. Support verification and validation efforts of the health monitoring algorithms. Support data analysis and root cause analysis of in-service issues to identify improved and advanced health monitoring algorithms. Required Qualifications: BS or MS degree in Engineering with relevant focus One or more of C/C++, C#, Java Skilled with Microsoft Office tools and possess some knowledge of modeling and analysis using one or more tools Self-motivated, adaptable, highly organized and possess excellent communication abilities Broad Data Engineering skills Familiarity or experience with developing cloud-based monitoring tools Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, CloudWatch and OpenSearch Strong Python skills and good understanding of CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment) practices Any experience with relational database administration and Databricks is a plus Due to the nature of this work, ship is a must have Preferred Qualifications and Skills: Any experience with Diagnostics, Prognostics and Health Monitoring of Mechanical Systems is a plus Familiarity with data modeling and analyzing large sets of data from different sources Compensation: We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering an salary rate of $70,720 to $79,040 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
