Programmer - Data Analyst I

The Programmer - Data Analyst I is responsible for supporting the development, maintenance and monitoring of innovative solution and automated business processes. Working in a highly dynamic technical environment, this entry-level position contributes to the development and maintenanceprocessesthat support business operations. The rolemay alsoincludemonitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting business processes and integrations across platforms such as IBM Sterling B2B, Snowflake, Workday, Appian, and related systems. The incumbent willassistin delivering reliable data solutions, ensuring data quality, and supporting daily operational processes while developing technical and business knowledge. 

What does your typical day look like?

  • Participate in the analysis, design and development of solutions in an effort to interface data or to drive business automations and decision making.
  • Produce design documentation of the solution based on the requirements as defined by the requestor, business analyst and subject matter expert.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts and other team members to both develop detailed specification documents with clear deliverables and timelines, and to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Communicate to team members with efficiency and accuracy any progress and/or delays. Engage in outside-the-box thinking to provide high value-of-service to clients.
  • Develop and maintain SQL Stored Procedures that drive business through our core applications using SSMS.
  • Develop and maintain SSIS and IBM Sterling B2B processes to drive file exchange with clients and Vendors.
  • Develop and maintain reports that provide the business with operational data and analytics that influence decision making or business planning and auditing.
  • Participate in daily application support meetings.
  • Participate in the investigation related to product issues identified by the business or team members.
  • Monitor business process activity with a focus on building resilience.
  • Provide quick resolutions to issues in an effort to deliver effective customer service.

What skills and experience are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in computer scienceorequivalent or equivalent with 1 to 3 years of related work experience;
  • Working knowledge of ETL concepts. 
  • Familiarity with X12 (ANSI ASC X12) a widely used Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standard. 
  • Intermediate-level knowledge and skill with SQL products (SSMS, SSIS, SSRS). 
  • Focused on service delivery and/or service oriented. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (French and English);
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, innovative thinker, flexible, and positive; 
  • Customer-service oriented.
