Overview of position:

We are looking for a CSSP Analyst, Junior to work in Indianapolis, IN.

An active Top-Secret Clearance and a United States Citizenship is required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24/7 security monitoring for DFAS CCE under senior guidance (ON-SITE REQUIRED)
  • Monitor security dashboards and alerts for potential incidents
  • Perform initial alert triage and documentation
  • Escalate potential security incidents to senior analysts
  • Document security events in ticketing system
  • Support log monitoring and review activities
  • Maintain investigation notes and case records
  • Participate in on-the-job experience (OJE) training within 9 months
  • Maintain weekly backups as required by CRG VPN testing guidelines
  • Learn CSSP toolsets and procedures under mentorship

Experience/Skills:

  • Entry-level position - no prior experience required
  • CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) certification demonstrating security fundamentals
  • DoD 8140 Cyber Defensive Analyst (Basic) Playlist qualification
  • Basic understanding of network security concepts
  • Familiarity with security monitoring tools
  • Strong attention to detail for alert monitoring
  • Ability to work 24/7 shift schedule
