Certified Public Accountant, CPA Candidate, Enrolled Agent

We are seeking a CPA, CPA candidate, or EA to join our small firm. We strive to balance work, life, and family, and promote professional growth. This position can be tailored to the benefit of the candidate and the team, with flexible hours and schedule. Position requires in office time in West Point, Iowa but also may allow for some remote work.

Duties:

-              Personal, business, non-profit & estate/trust income tax return preparation

-              Assist in tax return review

-              Bookkeeping for a few clients

-              Develop working relationship with clients via phone, email, texts, & web and in-person meetings

-              Assist and provide support to other internal team members as needed.

-              Assist the tax team by gathering tax documentation from clients and distributing final client copies & records

-              Ability to work extra hours during tax season (up to 70 hours per week)

Qualifications:

-          CPA, CPA Candidate, or EA credential

-          Have or be able to obtain a PTIN

-          Pass a background check

-          Have 2 years with 1040 preparation experience

-          1065 and 1120S experience and/or QuickBooks or payroll reporting experience a plus

-          Experience with Drake Tax a plus

-          Experience working with paperless system a plus
