• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify clients' concerns, formulate clinical diagnoses, and establish personalized treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities that cater to the unique goals and challenges of each client.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention services for clients facing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and assessment results, adhering to ethical and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to enhance the quality of care for clients.
• Educate clients and families about mental health topics, treatment options, and community resources, acting as an advocate for their needs.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to remain updated on best practices in the field of mental health therapy.

At Avis Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, and adults facing a wide range of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and interpersonal issues. Your work will be instrumental in helping clients navigate their personal struggles, fostering resilience, and facilitating positive changes in their lives.

• Must be licensed as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW) in the state of Illinois.
• A Bachelor's degree or higher in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is required.
• Demonstrated strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in mental health counseling is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Self-motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• A strong commitment to ethical practice in handling client information and therapeutic relationships.

• Experience in a clinical setting is preferred, but not required for entry-level positions.
• Previous exposure to various therapeutic modalities and techniques is a plus.

The salary for this position ranges from USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
