Job description

Corrpro Companies is seeking candidates with basic electrical experience for an entry level position as a Field Installation Technician for our Waterworks Division. Please note: we are NOT looking for a certified journeyman electrician. $2.000 SIGNING BONUS ELIGIBLE.
Corrpro is a corrosion engineering, cathodic protection, and corrosion monitoring business for the protection and preservation of infrastructure. Corrpro provides professional corrosion consulting and cathodic protection engineering services. Corrpro is a subsidiary of Azuria Water Solutions Company.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience operating basic hand tools and small power tools
  • Basic electrical understanding
  • Experience installing conduit, pulling wire and the ability to install and understand basic D.C. electrical circuits preferred
  • Experience or the ability to climb water towers / water storage tanks as high as 200'+ is required
  • Able to travel overnight on a weekly basis and work overtime with the typical workweek of 50+ hours
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills, as well as ability to work well within a team
  • Beneficial to live within 1 to 2 hours from the office
  • Valid driver's license required

COMPENSATION and BENEFITS
  • Hourly pay rate based on experience, plus 1.5 overtime rate over 40 hours and paid travel time in a company vehicle

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work as a part of a 2- or 3-person crew installing and servicing cathodic protection systems onto water storage tanks. Cathodic Protection is a means of preventing corrosion utilizing a low voltage DC current. Work on above ground steel water storage tanks and towers, up to the height of 200'+
  • Install conduit (pulling wires, splicing wires), junction boxes, read basic drawings, and provide general service maintenance work
  • Understand and follow company's safety policies and procedures
  • Travel Monday through Friday to complete projects primarily located in Houston and surrounding states
  • Document activities on Daily Field Reports (handwritten)
