Account Executive
UPSHOT Baltimore - Baltimore, MD
We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Account Executive to help launch, build, and engage the fan base for UPSHOT Baltimore in the Baltimore, Maryland market. As part of a startup expansion team, this individual will play a critical role in laying the foundation for long-term success. This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and wants to directly impact the growth of a new professional sports franchise.
As a key member of the sales team, you will drive revenue and generate excitement by selling full and partial season ticket packages, group outings, and entry-level corporate partnerships to individuals and businesses. This role also includes servicing current ticket holders and delivering an exceptional fan experience from day one.
Key Responsibilities
• Make 70+ outbound touchpoints daily (calls, emails, text, and in-person meetings) to generate ticket sales revenue
• Sell full and partial season tickets, group packages, individual tickets, and entry-level corporate partnerships
• Help establish and grow a strong sales pipeline in a new market through creative prospecting and outreach
• Manage inbound sales inquiries and deliver an exceptional level of customer service
• Prospect new business through networking, referrals, social media, and targeted research
• Conduct in-person meetings, sales presentations, arena tours, and off-site appointments
• Represent the organization at community events, networking functions, and sales tables to generate leads and build brand awareness
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all sales activity using CRM systems
• Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales goals in a competitive, growth-driven environment
• Assist with renewal efforts and ongoing account service for existing clients
• Build strong, long-term relationships with clients through consistent communication and high-level service
• Contribute ideas and feedback to help shape sales strategies, processes, and best practices as the organization grows
Game & Event Responsibilities
• Attend and work all home games and related events
• Engage with clients and prospects during games through seat visits, networking, and in-game activations
• Assist with the execution of fan engagement initiatives and in-game experiences
• Play an active role in creating a best-in-class game day atmosphere as part of a new franchise launch
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required
• Passion for the sports industry and a strong desire to grow a career in sales
• Ability to thrive in a startup or expansion environment where adaptability and initiative are critical
• Coachable, positive attitude with a willingness to learn and continuously improve
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
