WebFX is seeking an entry-level candidate for our Earned Media team! Our ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree (or will soon have one!), a track record of strong academics, and is excited about all things project management and content strategy. Related experience is awesome to have, but never required - we'll train you on everything you need to know.
 
The Qualifications: Who You Are
 
Education:
  • A Bachelor's Degree: All majors welcome!
  • GPA: 3.4 or above

  • Mentor a team of 12+ copywriters/editors, providing regular feedback, coaching towards goals, and helping each build a career they find fulfilling
  • Build genuine, trusting relationships with your team, and create an environment where people feel safe asking for help, admitting mistakes, and talking openly about where they need to grow
  • Manage team workloads, track deadlines, and ensure your team is set up for success
  • Hold regular 1-on-1 check-ins with your writers/editors, and lead performance and career development calls
  • Identify individual strengths and areas for growth amongst your team, and support team members in setting and achieving their goals
  • Extend culture and connection to every team member, whether they're down the hall or in another time zone
 
 
Manage the Content Production Process
(About 30% of your day)
 
  • Assign projects by matching the right writer to the right project, and ensure timely completion from start to finish
  • Own the outcome of every project in your queue - from overseeing its deadlines to making sure it accomplishes the client's goals
  • Set writers up for success by providing them with all the info they need: audience, brand voice, intended outcome, and requirements
  • Review incoming project specs and client notes before writing actually begins - notice where details are thin, and chase down info that may be missing
  • Hold the team accountable to client brand notes, page goals, and quality standards
  • Process client revision requests, and reassign projects as needed
  • Answer questions from writers and marketers, and clear snags before they turn into delays
 
Provide Team Support and Promote Operational Excellence
(About 20% of your day)
 
  • Plan and execute process improvements designed to simplify workflows, support team efficiency, and raise the quality of work produced
  • Review team output data (turnaround time, revision rates, client feedback) to spot trends and identify areas for potential growth
  • Contribute to team standards, playbooks, training, and documentation to give our writers the tools to get it right the first time
  • Lead and contribute to special projects to support team operations, content quality, and client satisfaction
  • Collaborate with peers in similar roles, taking ownership of shared tasks and responsibilities
 
Communicate with Internal WebFX Teams

  • Act as liaison between copywriters and marketers, offering support and resolving issues related to projects
