Job description

Overview:

Summary:
The incumbent will be responsible for day -to- day operation of the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to ensure the best quality product is delivered to a customer in a timely manner.
Terms:
Permanent, full- time position.
Responsibilities:
  • Program the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to effectively measure different products
  • Ensure the product passes certification test or process inspection
  • Prepare reports to describe studies and prepare documents and layouts
  • Keep the equipment and the work station clean at all times for most accurate results
  • Perform project work, while adhering to deadlines, as required
  • Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Experience operating Milling machine, Surface grinder, Drill press, Hand tools and Precision instruments
  • Ability to read a blue print and GD&T interpretations
  • Ability to use MS Word & Excel computer applications
  • Strong organizational and workload planning skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Previous experience operating a CMM/Portable measuring equipment is preferred
  • Knowledge/experience in Polyworks, Nikon Metrology, CAMIO Software is a definite asset
