Job description

Job Duties:

The responsibilities of the Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, and Controls Engineering team will include:

  • Designing machine controls
  • Troubleshooting manufacturing machinery
  • Improving machine productivity by reducing cycle times
  • Analyzing machine faults and implementing counters
  • Enhancing machine safety with redundant sensors

The Controls Technician will work with various technologies, including PLCs, vision systems, drives, cobots, and robots. Their activities will be supervised by an experienced Controls Engineer, and they will be assigned to projects to build machine controls. Additionally, they will assist in troubleshooting production equipment during regular production shifts, collaborating with Controls Engineers.

This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with software such as Rockwell-Allen Bradley, Cognex, Keyence vision systems, and Fanuc Cobots/Robots, providing several practice hours in real-world field activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Satisfactory completion of freshman year with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • High School or entry level AutoCAD knowledge preferred
  • Ability to complete the cooperative education program in accordance with their College's or University's guidelines
