Description
In this role, you will be a key member of the Systems Engineering team working on mobility control features for 5G and 6G wireless communication systems.","responsibilities":"Scope different mobility control procedures, identify the performance trade-offs and design innovative control procedures.
Identify dependencies between physical layer and upper layers to optimize control concepts.
Take part in cross feature impact analysis. Determine how a physical layer procedure impacts other procedures and strive for a jointly optimized algorithm.
Consider end-user experience and scalability aspects as a part of algorithm design.
Support hardware and software development teams from design through commercialization via defining test procedures and debug methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiar with NR reference signal design, cell search/measurement and mobility behavior.
Familiar with key RRC signaling flows between UE and network.
Ability to make proper design tradeoff considering power, performance and complexity.
Experience with genAI tools to improve work efficiency, and data analysis / machine learning skills.
Minimum Qualifications
BS and 10+ years of relevant experience is required.
Good understanding of 5G-NR standard: RRC and PHY specifically.
In-depth knowledge of Wireless Communication Systems.
Experience with Matlab, C/C++, Javascript and/or Python for system-level simulation, workflow automation, data analysis and visualization.
Strong theoretical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $171,600 and $302,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
