McMillan LLP is looking for a detail-oriented, bilingual Digital Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our Marketing & Business Development team. This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity for an organized early-career communications professional to gain practical experience in digital marketing, communications and professional services marketing, and learn to use AI tools in a thoughtful, responsible and efficient way.

Under the direction of the Associate Director, Communications, the bilingual Digital Marketing & Communications Coordinator will provide day-to-day support for McMillan’s digital and marketing communications activities. Working closely with communications, digital, social media and business development colleagues, this role will help prepare draft copy, coordinate review and approval steps, schedule approved social media posts, organize supporting materials, support basic reporting and assist with website updates. This entry-level opportunity is well suited for a curious early-career communications professional who is fluently bilingual in English and French and interested in building practical experience in digital and communications, professional services marketing and the use of approved AI tools in a communications setting. This position is being posted as this is a new role for the department.

Please note that this role offers a hybrid workweek. Each week will combine both working at home for a few days and working in the Toronto office for the balance. Your hybrid schedule will start once you join McMillan!

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate day-to-day digital marketing and communications tasks, timelines and materials.
  • Support communications and distribution activities for internal announcements, external firm news, events, rankings, awards, lawyer updates and publications.
  • Prepare bilingual draft copy for social media, website updates, events, campaigns and short-form marketing communications.
  • Update English and French website content, including lawyer biographies, media mentions, publications and event information.
  • Collect and organize materials related to communications projects, such as background information, images, biography details, practice descriptions and French-language content.
  • Help maintain the social media calendar, including timelines, approvals and publication dates.
  • Track basic social media, website and digital metrics, and help maintain related templates and checklists.
  • Use approved AI tools, under guidance, to support drafting, ideation and proofreading.

What You Bring

  • Post-secondary education in communications, marketing, public relations, digital media, journalism or a related field.
  • Experience supporting social media, digital content, communications or marketing activities, including through co-op, internship, volunteer or student experience.
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills in both English and French.
  • An interest in social media, digital communications and content coordination.
  • Basic familiarity with LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling tools, basic design platforms or content management systems is considered an asset.
  • Willingness to learn approved AI and digital tools in a responsible, confidential and thoughtful manner.
  • Fluency in English and French is required.
