Job description

LaSalle Network has partnered with a SaaS company here in Chicago in their search for a Technical/ Content Writer.
In this role, you will provide online and in-app technical and instructional documentation that supports users across the SaaS product suite. You will be a part of team responsible for creating high-quality content that helps customers understand, adopt, and fully leverage their software.
You will partner closely with instructional design and technical writing teams as a hybrid collaborator. You'll work with Product, Training, and subject-matter experts to gain a deep understanding of the platform, identify documentation and eLearning needs, and deliver content that meets our standards of clarity, accuracy, and usability.
This is a long term contract opportunity with the potential to convert for the right person!
Responsibilities:
  • Develop strong knowledge of the SaaS platform, related tools, and customer workflows.
  • Conduct needs assessments to determine instructional requirements and appropriate content strategies.
  • Create instructional materials for internal and external audiences, updating and refining content as new product releases roll out.
  • Produce and edit end-user eLearning videos and knowledge-base articles.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation; revise content as software features evolve.

Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree in technical writing, English, communications, or related field; or 1+ years of instructional design or technical writing experience for software products.
  • Ability to quickly understand complex systems and write clear, concise documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a polished, professional presence.
  • Highly organized self-starter who can manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work independently.
  • Able to follow-and contribute to-corporate style guides and editorial standards.

This role pays $20.00 per hour and is fully remote. While the position is fully remote, the ideal candidate will sit in either the CT or ET time zones and be available to work 8-5 CT.
