Taylor Northeast is the mid-Atlantic and New England's premier dealer of forklifts, container handlers, railcar movers, industrial floor cleaning machines, and much more. Headquartered near Reading, Pennsylvania with multiple branch facilities from Baltimore to New Hampshire, we sell, rent, service, and rebuild a range of custom and heavy-duty material handling equipment that is unlike any other company in the industry. And we are fortunate to have an equipment lineup that is backed by the best service technicians and parts support teams in the Northeast.
We are currently seeking a Service Coordinator whose primary responsibility will be to assist in the management of the day-to-day operations of the service department at our Morgantown, PA shop. Applicant should have experience in a service department, preferably with a background in forklift or heavy equipment repair and service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide technical advice and resolution of a wide range problems in a timely manner to customers on a wide range of material handling equipment
  • Manage warranty claims with the OEMs
  • Assist the service manager in managing road and shop mechanics and distribute necessary information in a timely and professional manner
  • Work with sales and administrative personnel to ensure the customers' needs are addressed correctly the first time
  • Evaluate needs of each customer on an individual basis
  • Continue education on new products and lines offered by the company by attending necessary training
  • Evaluate the performance of technicians which includes identifying strengths and weaknesses and addressing those issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Ability to clearly explain repair issues to customers with varying technical backgrounds
  • Responsible for coordinating PM schedules for all customers
  • Maintain shop and road repair schedules in order to ensure to maximize efficiencies of labor, supplies and overall cost

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Customer service skills are paramount
  • Strong technical background and aptitude preferably with heavy equipment such as forklift trucks, container handlers, railcar movers, floor sweepers and scrubbers.
  • Experience working in a service department
  • Strong communication skills
  • Solid negotiating capabilities
  • Strong technical capacity to quote repair/rebuild jobs
  • Solid problem solving and trouble-shooting skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Results driven
