KL Engineering is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Madison, Wisconsin office and contribute to impactful transportation construction projects. What You'll Do:
  • Lead & Contribute: Work alongside experienced engineers on challenging transportation construction projects and assist with design efforts as needed.
  • Observe & Evaluate: Conduct on-site construction observation, materials testing, and project documentation to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate & Communicate: Serve as the on-site representative, engaging with contractors and project teams to resolve field issues and maintain project momentum.
  • Design & Support: Assist with CAD-based design work during winter months and contribute to the development of plans and specifications.
  • Grow & Develop: Be part of a team that values mentorship, learning, and professional development.
What We're Looking For:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Prior experience in transportation infrastructure construction and design. WisDOT experience is a plus.
