MACHINIST (2nd Shift: 3:00 pm-11:30 pm)

Job Summary

The Machinist operates and programs computer numerically controlled (CNC) and manual machinery, including grinding and milling machines, to produce and repair high-quality, precision parts. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and a proactive approach to efficiency. This role requires a safety-conscious team player capable of interpreting complex blueprints and working effectively with minimal supervision.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • et up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual machine tools to fabricate or repair precision components, working within tight tolerances.
  • A
  • nalyze blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machine setups, procedures, and optimal machining sequences.
  • A
  • pply knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure product conformity.
  • U
  • tilize and interpret various precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers (ID/OD/depth), calipers, and pi tapes, to inspect parts and ensure they meet specifications.
  • A
  • lign and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials onto machines.
  • A
  • djust machine feeds, speeds, and tool offsets as needed to maintain high-quality production.
  • P
  • erform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime and ensure consistent performance.

  • perate overhead cranes safely to handle materials and parts.
